Hiking trails

Horný Bankov

Well-known tourist site, accessible public transport network of hiking trails and the Lamb, but also the estates Terrace and KVP. The starting point for the onset of cycling paths toward Strawberries and Lajošku Kojsovska Hola.

Stará bankovská cesta

Promenade serving for hiking, biking and roller skating. The route is equipped with a resting place with tables. On the way is reconstructed chapel of Jan Nepomucky and close are several sources of drinking water.

Alpinka

The site is suitable for hiking and biking in the recent period, after the restoration of forest roads, and ice skates to roller skates. The site begins and ends 25 km long marked cycling route leading to Findorákovú, Kosice Bela and the conclusion Čermeľ Valley.

Čermeľské údolie

The site is situated in the valley Čermeľská creek downstream for residential area in lambs and ending on Alpinka.
Zone is a network of interconnected hiking trails and forest roads on the right and left side of the valley, and seasonal and child Košice rail.
In addition to movement activities for tourist paths allows site sightseeing with a steam-powered railway, the locomotive activity in the area Rokodromo (the practicing rock climbing), picnic and stay in "areal health" (Meadow of movement activities and games).

Hradová

A significant and highly prospective in terms of site availability, but also attractive residence for hikers and bikers. The site contains residues Kosice Castle from 13th century and a network of tourist paths and staging points. On the site is built Hradová observation tower overlooking the city of Kosice and surroundings. The output of the tower will gradually uncover a beautiful panorama of Košice valley Hornád and especially Čierna hora and Volovské hills.

Cesta hrdninov SNP

Hotel Bankov is located on the famous tourist route that runs through the whole of Slovakia from Dukelsky priesmyk to Devin Castle near to Bratislava. From the mound M.R. Stefanik is route called Štefániková magistrala. Ďombier is the highest point (2043 m asl) in the Low Tatras. The route is about 740 km long and will handle an average of 28 days. Tourist trail leads through Ondavská Highlands, Čergov, Šarišské Highlands, Volovské Mountains, Low Tatras, the Velka Fatra, Kremnica Hills, Ziar, Strazovske Mountains, White Carpathians and the Little Carpathians.

Krásna Hôrka

Krásna Hôrka is a National Cultural Monument situated 8 km eastwards from Rožňava above the village Krásnohorské Podhradie. On the top of a steep conic-shaped hill you will see a Gothic castle from the beginning of the 14-th century. It was rebuilt into a fortress-castle and later into a representative residency of aristocracy. The castle was inhabited till 1812. Its last owner D. Andrássy rebuilt the interior into a museum - which was open to public in 1906. The castle was reconstructed in 1946.

Betliar

At the beginning of the 18-th century Štefan Andrássy decided to build a manor house with corner bulwarks on foundations of an old castle from the 16-th century. In 1792-1795 his descendants rebuilt the manor house in the Classicistic style. The manor house lost its Classicistic design after it was rebuilt in 1880. It started to be used by hunters and aristocracy. Nowadays, in the manor house there is a museum of historical culture, furniture from the 15-17-th century, classicistic and empire equipment. You can find there collections of paintings, portraits, a book-case with more than 20 000 books, gun collections and hunter`s trophies, exotic souvenirs from all around the world esp. from Asia and Africa.

Spišský hrad

On a dolomite rock 200 m above the surrounding land, at the elevation of 634 m, there is one of the most precious cultural monuments in the Spiš region that reigns over the Spiš basin - the Spiš Castle. It is not just an evidence of architectural development from the 12-th to the 18-th century. With its area of 41 426 m2 it is at the same time one of the largest castles in the Central Europe.
